Year 7 Tutors
We are currently assigning each Year 6 student a tutor group. As soon as this has been finalised, we will let you know. A member of our Phase Team will make contact with you this week as your link for any questions between now and September.
Mr Zeronian-Dalley
Hello year 7! I am Mr Zeronian-Dalley and I am one of the History teachers here at Coundon Court. I love history, because it links to most other subjects such as sport, music and art, but my favourite part is medieval history and the Tudors which we look at in year 7! Outside of school I enjoy playing the trumpet, reading, and watching films, particularly if they are about magic or the supernatural!
Mrs Crabtree
Hi Year 7! I am Mrs Crabtree and I teach History here at Coundon Court. I love going on school trips both in this country and abroad, making History come alive for the students. I have two children of my own, one of which is going to secondary school this year, so I understand how excited but slightly nervous you will be. We love camping as a family, watching movies and eating chocolate!
I look forward to meeting you all in September.
Ms Kane
Hello Year 7, My name is Miss Kane, I teach Geography at Coundon Court school. My favourite way to spend the holidays is walking on the beach with my bouncing bearded collie, called Meg. This is her favourite pass time too as she loves to dig in the sand and paddle in the sea. My long term goal is to travel the world, visiting all the fantastic places we explore in lessons. Imagine walking on a glacier or stand at the top of a volcano! I am looking forward to meeting you all in September. Have a lovely summer break.
Mrs Norman
Hi Year 7 I'm Mrs Norman and I teach History. I love exploring historical places and have travelled to find really unusual places. I even lived by a huge castle called the Kremlin in Moscow. However, my favourite castle is Harlech in Wales. I also have a big passion for rollercoasters and I regularly go to Drayton Manor. I really love day trips to Alton Towers where the rollercoasters are amazing! Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Mr Martin
Hi Year 7! I am Mr. Martin and I teach History here at Coundon Court. I know exactly how you will be feeling about being a Year 7 at Coundon Court as I joined the school as a Year 7 back in 2004 and now I teach here!
Outside of school I love going to the cinema and try to go at least once a week.
Looking forward to seeing you all in September!
Mr Wilson
Hello Year 7. I am Mr Wilson and I am one of the History teachers at Coundon Court. I have been a teacher for 20 years, 4 years at Coundon. I am originally from Northern Ireland. I love History especially the History of Coventry itself and I will be in charge of our History trip to Coventry City centre in late September. I really enjoy running and have entered the Half Marathons in Kenilworth and Coventry. I enjoy reading History Non-fiction and my favourite author of fiction is Stephen King and I enjoy Halloween and Christmas every year.
Mr Walker
Hi Year 7, I am Mr. Walker and I teach geography and run the Duke of Edinburgh Award here at Coundon Court. When I am not enjoying teaching exciting topics like glaciation, natural hazards and coasts, I like to be outdoors walking in the mountains, playing golf or walking my 2 little rascal dogs The Moog and Flo. My favorite thing in school is getting out on trips where I have been to Italy, Wales and the Peak District. I am also an avid Sheffield Wednesday fan. Some of you might not have heard of them, but we just got relegated into League 1. I am thoroughly looking forward to travelling to Accrington Stanley and Morecambe during the winter! Looking forward to meeting you in September, stay safe.
Miss Hack
I am Miss Hack and I teach Geography here at Coundon Court. When I'm not busy teaching I love to travel. My favourite trips include a holiday to the rainforest in Costa Rica to see the howler monkeys and sloths and I also loved our school trip to Italy where we were able to visit Pompeii and walk up the Mount Vesuvius volcano. I am looking forward to welcoming you to Coundon Court and to meeting you really soon. Have a lovely summer!
Mr Marr
Hi Year 7! My name is Mr Marr and I am the Head of Geography at Coundon Court. When I'm not teaching Geography, you'll find me climbing mountains in the lake district or watching football, rugby league and cricket. I love travelling to different places around the world and recording geography videos whenever possible. Just like you, I will be new to Coundon Court in September and I am very much looking forward to meeting you all and teaching you.
